1. Old Orchard Beach

Location: The Public Works Department on 103 Smithwheel Road provides free sand for Old Orchard Beach residents.
Details: Bring your own bucket or container. There is a limit on the amount you can take per visit, so call ahead at (207) 934-2250 for specific guidelines.

2. Biddeford

Location: Free sand is available at the Biddeford Recycling Center, located at 371 Hill Street.
Details: This service is available to Biddeford residents only. Be sure to bring your ID, as proof of residency may be required.

3. Saco

Location: The City of Saco provides free sand at the Public Works facility at 351 North Street.
Details: Sand is available for residential use only. Bring your own containers, and be mindful of limits. Contact the Saco Public Works Department at (207) 284-6641 for more details.

4. Scarborough

Location: Sand for Scarborough residents can be picked up at the Public Works garage at 20 Washington Avenue.
Details: Residents are encouraged to bring their own buckets or pails for collection. Contact the Public Works office at (207) 730-4400 for updates.

5. Cape Elizabeth

Location: The town offers free sand for residents at the Recycling Center at 21 Dennison Drive.
Details: Make sure to check the town's website or call ahead at (207) 799-0324 to confirm availability and guidelines for collection.
